Hammerstorm
Pragmatic PlayDescription
A typical round of Hammerstorm sees reels spin until a gem symbol or a Thor symbol paired with lightning drops in and sets off a respin sequence on a Viking-themed grid. This Pragmatic Play slot carries very high volatility and a top prize of 10000 times the bet.
How to play
Choose a stake and spin the grid, which starts at 5x5. Base spins continue until the respin feature is triggered, either at random by a gem symbol or when Thor lands on reel one with at least one lightning symbol elsewhere. The feature begins with 5 respins, and a collection zone moves to a new spot on every respin to gather the coin and lightning symbols that fall inside it. Autoplay is available for repeated spins, and the game works on phones and tablets.
Theme and symbols
The setting is a Viking-inspired adventure led by Thor. Lightning symbols come in red, green and purple, alongside coin symbols, gem symbols and a +1 Spin symbol. Gold coin and lightning symbols appear as upgraded versions.
Features
Respins: triggered by a gem or by Thor plus lightning, starting at 5 respins.
Collection zone: a 2x2 area appears at a random position on each respin and collects coins or lightning symbols inside it. It grows to 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 after collecting 5, 4 and 3 lightning symbols, which award extra respins.
Double: gold coin and lightning symbols are added and are collected twice.
Expand: the grid grows from 5x5 to 7x7.
Spins: a +1 Spin symbol is added to the reels.
The game also has a Wild symbol and free spins. Its very high volatility suggests long quiet stretches, and the maximum win is capped at 10000 times the bet. More Pragmatic Play games sit in the catalogue, as does the wider slots lobby.
