Year of the Dragon King
Pragmatic PlayDescription
Built for bankrolls that can absorb long quiet stretches in exchange for a shot at a large hit, Year of the Dragon King is a Pragmatic Play slot with very high volatility and a top prize of 5000 times the bet. It uses 20 paylines and a Chinese New Year setting, and it also lists free spins among its features.
How to play
The game is played on 20 paylines, so the first step is choosing a bet and spinning the reels. Wild symbols stand in for base game symbols to complete lines. During spins the reel background can change colour at random, and when all reels are visually matched, a bonus is triggered. Autoplay is offered for repeated spins, and the slot works on phones and tablets. Anyone new to this kind of game can read up on volatility first, since swings here can be sharp.
Theme and symbols
The setting combines Chinese New Year celebrations with a mythical mountain. Symbols on the reels include Lamps and Coins, along with the Wild.
Features
Wild: substitutes for all base game symbols.
Background colour matching: the reel background changes colour at random, and matching all reels triggers the bonus.
Bonus rounds: three different bonuses exist, and each one places a random number of mini-slot machines on the reels.
Incrementing multipliers: every bonus carries a multiplier that rises with each successive win on the mini-slots.
Mini-slot machines: a symbol on each reel of a mini-slot produces a win, while a single missing symbol ends the spins of that mini-slot.
The game also includes free spins. The max win of 5000 times the bet is the highest payout the game lists. More Pragmatic Play games are in the catalogue, and the full slots lobby has further titles.
