Rio Stars
Red TigerDescription
Red Tiger designed this carnival-themed slot around the streets of Rio de Janeiro, pairing high volatility with a top prize of 2500 times the stake. Samba drums drive the action by handing out one of several bonus features during play.
How to play
Play begins with choosing a stake and spinning the reels, where playing card symbols and the Rio Spins symbol fill the screen. Wild and scatter symbols are part of the line-up, and autoplay can run a set series of spins. Whenever the Carnival Drums show up, one of the bonus features may fire. Landing three Rio Spins symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 starts the free spins round. A free demo lets you try the mechanics first, and the game is playable on phones and tablets as well as desktop.
Theme and symbols
The setting is a Rio de Janeiro carnival, with samba and party atmosphere throughout. The symbol set centres on playing card symbols for the low payouts, plus the Rio Spins symbol that leads into the bonus round.
Features
Carnival Drums may trigger one of four bonus features:
- Rio Multiplier: applies to the next win and can reach 20x; consecutive multipliers add together.
- Mega Wild: lands anywhere on the reels and substitutes for all paying symbols.
- Rio Dancers: adds extra wild symbols to the reels.
- Carnival Reels: removes all low-paying playing card symbols.
Rio Spins awards a random number of free spins when three Rio Spins symbols land on reels 1, 3 and 5. The Carnival Drums can increase the number awarded, and every spin in the round features them. The slot's high volatility suggests larger swings, and its max win is capped at 2500 times the bet. More games from the studio sit in the Red Tiger collection, and the wider slots lobby has other titles.
